My first use of the cuisinart ice-21 was a complete flop. First I put the ingredients in before I started the machine. The milk froze to the sides and the paddle couldn't turn. Had to scrape and scrape to get it out and try again. Then after over 30 minutes I just had soup. I will try again with the ice on top, etc.
Put the containor in the freezer for at least 48 to 50 hours, and put a full bag of ice inside the container, to speed up the freezing process. recipe: 2 heavy cream, 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of sugar, 1 small spoon of vanilla extract. that's it
if you want make your ice cream even thicker than the vid, put the milk and cream in freezer before using it, about half an hour, and cover the top of the machine with bage of ice while mixing ( as you can see in the video )
Wow! I didn't even know you could make thick ice cream in a Cuisinart. Thanks for the vid! What did you do to get it thick like that though? I'd love to know.
