Hah loving the hate for this machine. The one I have is 12+ hours in the freezer before hand and takes up a massive amount of space (although I didn't pay extra for it, came with my kitchen mixer). Way too much effort to try and clear some space in my packed freezer to fit the machine in for half a day.. and when I did get around to making it once, the ingredients cost more than just buying pre-made ice cream from the shops.. It has been collecting dust in the cupboard for the past two years.

A) thanks for commenting B) i did some research C) it took a "bit of work," you're right. however, my definition of "a bit of work" is not 20+ hours between freezing device & eating ice cream D) "ice cream in 30 minutes" is not necessarily true. E) i am a VERY patient person. F) unless it's going to be a super healthy version of ice cream, I don't think I see the sense in making it yaself especially if it's on sale at WALDBAUMS for 2.99 ;-) Thanks again for commenting.
Should`ve done some research first...Thats what I`m doing now,know what I`m getting into and found one for $40. used....Bought all the ingredients and it came out killer....Took a little bit of work, but WELL worth it to make some bad ass french vanilla bean ice cream....Too bad you were soo impatient....
I feel your pain my brother. Briers is so damm good ! but The best imho is Blue Bell out of Texas Man it is even better than Briers But alas it has not made its way up into WY. Thanks for a great review ..

I thought that buying this machine would be a nice addition to my kitchen and something fun to do. It's tedious and falsely advertised. You must have been really pissed off when you bough your first blender and realized that ready made drinks didn't just pour out of the blender the instant you wanted something like magic.
Thanks for the heads up on this. I was going to buy one of those machines a while back but something told me not too. I'm glad I didn't. You just saved me a bundle of money.
